I bought this saw blade for my table saw because my saw is small and somewhat underpowered but as soon as I put the blade on my saw I saw an increase in power. To test the blade I cut 3/4″ red oak and 3/4″ red oak plywood and all I can say is WOW! The cuts were super smooth and there was no tearout in the plywood. I used it to rip, crosscut, and cut miters and every cut is amazingly smooth. I highly recomend this blade for any smaller or underpowered table saw.

I bought this blade after trying a more expensive Ridgid blade of similar construction which produced an unacceptably rough cut. Then, I tried a Porter Cable blade. I liked the cut on that blade, but it wasn’t as smooth as the Freud blade in my worm drive saw. That Freud blade produces glass smooth cuts. The PC blade left subtle saw marks in the cut material. I bought the Freud Diablo, and installed it into my table saw. It produces square, smooth cuts that require no sanding. The cuts can be glued and clamped, or finished without additional surfacing after the cut. This blade is amazing, and is the best blade that has ever seen action in my portable table saw.

I bought this blade to use with my 10″ contractor saw. I am a active woodworker and need good sharp, clean cutting blades. This blade is a good buy for the money but does seem to burn oak just a little and the blade is thin enough to deflect during a tough cut. I also have a 50 tooth Freud that is not thin kerf like this blade… Overall, the full kerf blade is the better of the two…but it is more expensive and may not work as well with some underpowered saws. For the money, I would buy this blade again. My experience with getting Freud blades sharpened has been dissapointing. I sure wish they would set up a Freud owned sharpening service for their customers in the USA.

I can’t say enough about this blade. I bought this blade mainly for cross cutting hardwoods on my sliding miter saw. I had an 80 tooth blade before and would only burn hardwoods on cross cuts. This blade glides through cuts with ease and even leaves a very good finish on the cut. I’ve also noticed that when bringing the blade down for face cuts on a wide board that the saw doesn’t bog down at all. I have a pretty good saw, but the thin kerf design would allow weaker saws to make great cross cuts as well. I like this blade so much that I’m probably going to replacing the blade in my table saw (bosch 4000) with this one. That blade is a Freud 40 tooth, but this blade is just so much better with hardwoods. It just makes working with hardwoods nice and easy.

This blade cuts through oak and maple wood like butter. It replaced a Makita blade that scorched wood and labored through cuts. The Home Depot carries Diablo blades, but not the 50 tooth one. This is a great value for a blade made in Italy.

I have a Jet contractor-style saw, and the standard Freud rip blade just wasn’t getting the job done for me. I didn’t realize my expensive saw was considered “underpowered.” With a standard rip blade, I kept burning hardwood and throwing breakers. However, this blade made all the difference. I can rip 2″ hardwood stock without bogging down or throwing breakers. Plus, the rip cut is very smooth. Highly recommended.

This blade will readily slice through full-height rips in hardwood, and give very good surface finish in rips or crosscuts. At least on a “2hp” universal-motor saw.The hook and lead angles of the teeth are very aggressive, and seem to result in the one weakness of this blade- hitting ANY metal will chip teeth. Period. A tiny little staple will suffice to chip some.

This blade was recommended to me and I’ve had excellent rips with it. It goes through 2″ oak without problems. I won’t use my combo-blade for ripping because its worth it to swap out for this one. Highly recommended.

I’ve been using this blade now for one year and two month without sharpening . In this period I have ripped and resawn about 2000 bft of tropical hardwoods . The blade continues to give me perfect service . All i do is an occasional pitch cleaning with easy off . I don’t think I will use any other blade again.

I’ve been using CMT blades for three years, and the one I use most is 40 tooth general blade with 1/8 kerf. It’s done great jobs for me so far. But when it comes to cutting heavy stock such as 8/4 red oak or hard maple, my saw ‘ll definitely come to a halt. And by the way my saw is obviously a portable low horse. So I thought it’s time for me to get upgraded. After reviewing bunch of saws and blades, I came across Freud’s ads The Utimate Thin Kerf Rip Blade. I was just thinking perhaps I should give it a try. And the result was I didn’t have to replace the saw. this blade can really go against anything I feed through. It produces nice and clean cuts as well as vibration reduction. Besides, jointing is unnecessary after the cut. The only reason why I should give this blade four stars is that mine came with a few factory defected carbide teeth. However, I ‘d recommend this blade to anyone who own an under powered saw.
