I bought this blade because I am making some cabinets out of sheet goods and was worried about chip outs while cutting the veneer. This blade came through in flying colors! Not one chip out. Very smooth cut and the blade is balanced very well. I should get many years out of this blade with occasional sharpening so the price was well worth it.

I have cut alot of plywood for cabinets with this blade and a Forrest Hi-ATB blade as well. I find the Forrest easier to push the sheets through. I get the same results from both except less effort from other blade. For the price of the Freud though its good compared to the Forrest.
I dont get any chipout unless its very thin cheap veneered plywood on the crosscut only.
I always change the blade when cutting any hardwood. If not you will dull the blade quick and its much harder to push through than a lesser toother rip blade.

Very impressive so far. I’ve been cutting a lot of cabinet grade plywood and these leave no fuzzy edges or tearout. Far superior to a combo blade (even the Forest WWII) for plywood. If you cut plywood you need one of these. I haven’t tried other plywood specific blades but I find this one to be great.

I was was looking for a replacement blade capable of crosscutting prefinished maple plywood without chipping and tearout. The results have been better than I could have hoped for. I was about to purchase the Forester equivalent (my usual pick and an excellent blade) but decided to save about $ 60.00 and give the Freud a shot and am I glad I did. I do this stuff for a living and have little patience for underperforming tools….this blade is a keeper…

I bought this (Freud LU80R010 10-Inch 80 Tooth Hi-ATB Ultimate Plywood and Melamine Cutting Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor blade for my table saw and the comparable Freud LU79R007 Perma-Shield Coated Ultimate Plywood and Melamine Saw Blade, 5/8-Inch Arbor 7-1/4-Inch by 60t Hi-ATB 38-Degree blade for my circular saw. I used the circular saw to break down a 4×8 sheet of 1/2″ Baltic Birch into about a dozen or so over-sized pieces which I then cut to final size on the table saw. I did not have any, not one, chip or splinter with either blade! Every cut was knife-edge clean! I’m super pleased! The cost of these blades are worth every penny!
