Quickie woodworking project showing how to make a cube within a cube. This is a fun and simple project. If you make one, post a video response! I’d love to see other ways of doing this.

  1. Oh my god…after he cut the block free with that pocket knife he just sat it down right on the table! Somebody could fall on it and really hurt themself or maybe it could flip up and poke someone in the eye!
People with zero confidence in there abilities should not be around power tools much less waist other peoples time with there nagging

  2. @snatchbox89 dude steve can choose how he wants to practice saftey you dont have to keep ur hands that close just becuase he does people need to stop nagging him for stuff that its his choice he wants to practice saftey how he wants you dont have to do the same all you have to do is enjoy all the good things he teaches us in his awsome videos

  3. Kmnjmj

  4. guys who cares if he doesn’t practice safety? nobodies saying that you have to practice the same safety precautions seriously its his problem if he gets hurt and all you people that keep nagging him are really just encouraging him to be more unsafe so shut your mouths its not ur problem just learn from what he is teaching YOU DONT HAVE TO DO EXACTLY STEP BY STEP DO WHAT HE IS DOING ESPECIALLY HIS SAFTEY PROCEDURES!!

  5. @snatchbox89 It’s a risk I am willing to take. I suggest you watch my video on woodworking safety, personal responsibility, and the “safety nannies”.

  6. @stevinmarin regardless of the fact that it is a slow bit your hand was dangerously close to it and slow or not you would get ripped up pretty bad if caught in it just takes one little slip in concentration and you have a trip to the hospital on your hands. and i don’t delight in the pain of others i was just trying to get the point across that you are not immune to injury grown up or not

  7. I made one last night using this technique, came out great. I used kingwood, which is very hard. I thought drilling the end grain was going to be the death of my drill press though. Smoked the whole time, and frequently stalled. I would up doing the end bits with a 1″ forstner first, then going back with the 2″.

  8. @snatchbox89 It’s a really slow bit and I am a grown-up. But seriously, why would you delight in the pain of others.

  9. i kept waiting for his hand to get caught on the bit and tear apart

  10. that was fun to watch thanx

  11. @avilord00 …ok no anger :-) Nothing wrong with questions. I do know from doing my own projects that I probably put my fingers too close to some blades. He must know what hes doing, since he still has all his fingers…didnt mean to jump back at you. Good luck on your projects

  12. @steveyodog haha me angry, that will be something to see? it was just a casual question… i just like asking questions thats all… even when he is working like that, he must know what he is doing…

  13. wow great project, here’s the butt , I always thought for wood the drill had to be its fastest possible for wood and slow for metal,
I have so many project on the go just now but I am definitely going to try this to take to my kids primary school,
keep up the good work ,
    Graeme.

  14. @avilord00 Wow..anger much? I watched many of his videos and most of the time he looks like hes doing things safely. However, in this video he looks like hes going to take off a knuckle or two. Dont take things so serious. He does good work, but he should have used a block to hold it in place…no biggie. You must be the “bad comment security”

  15. @steveyodog can’t comprehend the fact that some people are smart enough to able to judge themselves to not make any stupid mistakes?

  16. How does he still have any fingers left?

  17. I want one!! haha

  18. 5:15 nice excelsior

  19. Mystry solved !

  20. i made this but the largest piece of solid wood i had was 1.5″ x 1.5″ x 1.5″ and it wasnt as cool as i hoped it was. if i had a larger piece of wood to start out with, i think it wouldve come out much better.

  21. i like your drill

  22. @brnz1932 Safety Second!

  23. @Culturedropout Gotta love the safety monitors…

  24. Wow – every self-appointed hall-monitor from grade school has found their way to your channel! I think fingers should be outlawed, because you could accidentally slip and poke yourself in the eye with one! There should be big foam balls you cap the ends of all your fingers with to prevent this. Or… you could just try not being spastic… X/

  25. that’s a pretty cool project
