Reconditioned Tools

Reconditioned tools can save you a bit of money. I’ve bought a lot of reconditioned tools over the years and have had very good luck even using them in a harsh construction environment.

The most important tip I can give on tools is take a little time to clean and take care of them if you want them to last.  Oiling tools is a must!  For example, if your blade height crank is sticking then brushing off the screw and oiling  it or using WD-40 will help a lot.

I also wax my tool bases and tables. If tool tops or bases get rust or corrosion I Use WD-40 a green or brown scrubber to remove the corrosion, then clean of with a dry cloth and wax.
