Wood lathe chucks commonly have a four-jaw design, and one chuck opens and closes and a portion is turned. Discover how different jaws allow the user to hold onto works of various sizes with help from an experienced woodworker in this free video on woodworking tools. Hi Dave,
I’ve just bought a 2nd hand multi star chuck with one set of jaws.
There seems to be only one movement to it, which unscrews the body in two pieces, which leaves the jaws dangling loose…….not opening and closing as in your video.
Can you help me with this please?
I’m really not sure how to get it going.
Thanks for the info!
